Farmers for Rural Development (FRDEV) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to livelihood improvement of rural farmers. FRDEV aims to promote sustainable agriculture and improve well being of the farmers. FRDEV empower farmers with access to improved and modern technology, access to credit, trainings, and helping farmers to mitigate occupational and environmental risks.

With the aim of supporting the farmers through policy lobbying, advocacy and voluntary activities in the associated programs for community welfare, FRDEV was initiated through the joint effort of Nepal Agriculture Cooperative Central Federation Limited (NACCFL), Sana Kisan Bikas Kendriya Sangh (SKBKS) and Sana Kisan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SKBBL). FRDEV was affiliated to the Social Welfare Council (SWC) on 2072/12/04 as per the Social Welfare Act. It has been registered as NGO by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Office on 2016 September 21 (2073/06/05).
